In 2006, as I anticipated the arrival of my first child and grappled with the challenges of affording childcare in San Francisco, a friend suggested a solution: learning QuickBooks to establish a second income source that could be managed from home while caring for a young child. This suggestion sparked my fascination with accounting, eventually leading me down the path to tax expertise. Following this newfound passion, I returned to college to study accounting. After a move to Portland, OR, I had the privilege of working for a talented CPA who became my mentor in the realm of taxes. Today, I am proud to be an Enrolled Agent with the IRS and a Licensed Oregon Tax Consultant.

I continue to provide QuickBooks accounting services for clients, some of whom have been with me since 2007, and offer CFO services for small businesses. Since 2013, I've been responsible for the accounting and taxes of a close friend who embarked on a YouTube journey with Braille Skateboarding. Over the past decade, I've witnessed the growth of this channel from 250k to an impressive 5.8M subscribers, providing me with invaluable insights into the creator economy and the diverse income streams that contribute to taxable revenue. Additionally, I actively participated in launching our ecommerce website in 2014, giving me hands-on experience with both ecommerce income and expenses.
